Kitchener TFC Competitive Programs Coordinator

Position Summary:

The Competitive Programs Coordinator will be the administrative/operational

lead for the Club’s competitive programs, while supporting program growth, and

providing excellent customer service to the competitive categories.

Activities & Duties:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for competitive program inquiries, delivering timely, professional, and customer-focused communication.
  • Perform general administrative duties, including verification and tracking of coaching certifications and requirements, onboarding volunteer coaches, and approving required documentation and forms.
  • Manage the setup and maintenance of registration systems and operational processes within our registration platform. 
  • Coordinate and manage field bookings for competitive home games, festivals, and game reschedules.
  • Coordinate and manage field bookings for and schedule Academy practices.
  • Plan and execute Academy and Rep grassroots trials and competitive tryouts.
  • Administer the setup and hosting of Ontario Soccer coaching clinics.
  • Collaborate with Club Technical Staff to support the recruitment and hiring of volunteer coaches.
  • Provide leadership and support to competitive program volunteers, including managing conflict resolution processes when required.
  • Facilitate team official meetings to communicate key updates and operational information.
  • Liaise with Club Engagement staff regarding program documents, forms, and promotional initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with Finance on annual budget planning and tracking.
  • Represent the Club at League and District meetings, as well as discipline hearings.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Ontario Soccer and Canada Soccer policies, guidelines, and operational procedures.



Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of relevant programming or administrative experience within a youth sport or recreation environment.
  • Working knowledge of the Ontario Soccer landscape, systems, and governance structure.
  • Previous soccer playing experience is considered an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent planning and organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience with conflict resolution and mediation, including handling sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google products; experience with program management software (Power Up) is an asset.



Reporting & Collaboration:

This position reports directly to the Executive Director and works collaboratively with key staff members, including Office Staff, the Club Head Coach, and the Assistant Academy Director.

Working Environment:

This role is primarily office-based, with standard working hours of Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 4:00pm. Due to the nature of the position, occasional evening and weekend availability is required to support program operations and events.

Compensation:

Salary range: $42,000–$47,000 annually. Enrollment in the Club’s benefits package will be available following the successful completion of a probationary period.
